Sarah E. Marston
Attorney
Sarah is an experienced family law attorney with a deep commitment to helping families navigate conflict with clarity and compassion. Since joining Koiles Pratt Family Law Group in 2007, she has focused her practice on resolving family matters through mediation, guiding clients toward amicable, cost-effective solutions outside the courtroom whenever possible.
With a strong foundation in litigation, Sarah previously served as a trial advocate at the prestigious Boston law firm Bingham, Dana & Gould, and clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Robert B. Collings in the U.S. District Court in Boston. Her litigation experience gives her a well-rounded perspective in mediation, allowing her to help clients make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary conflict.
Whether working with couples to craft fair parenting plans or navigating the financial complexities of divorce, Sarah brings a calm, practical, and resolution-focused approach to every case.

The daughter of a college professor, Sarah has always loved an intellectual challenge. In her career, she has tackled not only family law matters, but everything from securities and franchise litigation to white collar defense matters. She has also studied three languages and still reads constantly for enjoyment when not traveling, playing tennis, or skiing with her husband and three children.
Friends and colleagues say that Sarah is not only a sharp lawyer, but an empathetic person and good listener. She believes that these qualities make her well-suited for domestic law practice. As a former psychology major at the University of Pennsylvania, she also brings to her practice an understanding of human nature, negotiation, and resolution.
Sarah loves being an advocate for her clients, connecting with them as people, and getting them to a good legal resolution that solves practical problems in their lives.
Sarah Marston has acted as the lead or supporting lawyer in hundreds of family law matters, including but not limited to cases involving divorce, alimony, paternity, child support, child custody and visitation issues involving both parents and grandparents.
She has also played a support role in a variety of criminal defense proceedings, including but not limited to cases involving alleged battery, sexual assault, and drunk driving.
During her career, she has frequently appeared in many district, superior and family law courts, including but not limited to those courts located in: Cambridge, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, Newburyport, Peabody, Salem, Woburn and Worcester
